In a heartbreaking turn of events, three friends were seen hugging each other just before being swept away by the raging waters of the Natisone River in Udine, Italy. This tragic incident has prompted a prosecutor's investigation, while a volunteer who discovered the body of one of the victims shared his harrowing experience.

The mayor of the area revealed that one of the girls, unable to swim, convinced her friends to stay with her, leading to the tragic deaths of all three. The prosecutor is now questioning whether all possible measures were taken to save the young people, who were trapped in the riverbed when the water suddenly swelled last Friday. Despite their desperate calls for help and the rapid response of the fire brigade, the rescue attempts were in vain.

The fire brigade made at least three attempts to save Patrizia Cormos, 20, Bianca Doros, 23, and Cristian Casian Molnar, 25. However, neither the firefighter who approached them with a special rope nor any other methods could prevent them from being swept away. . Before the eyes of the rescue teams, the river claimed the lives of Patrizia and Bianca, and hopes of finding Cristian alive dwindled with each passing hour.

The haunting image of the three friends embracing each other, waiting to be rescued, has captured the attention of many. The tragic narrative deepened as it was revealed that one girl's inability to swim and her plea to stay together led to their demise.

A press conference by the Udine prosecutor is scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday. While the bodies of the two girls have been recovered, the search for Cristian continues. "Following the discovery of the lifeless bodies of Patrizia and Bianca, the search for Cristian, the third young man caught in the Natisone flood on Friday, persists," reports RAI. Meanwhile, the Minister of Civil Protection, Nello Musumeci, has requested a report on the initial rescue operations.

Michele De Sabata, the mayor of Premariacco, commented, "In those conditions, only those familiar with the river and skilled in swimming could be rescued. Tragically, one in their group couldn't swim and convinced the others to stay."

The Udine District Attorney's Office has also requested records of the assistance requests and communications between rescuers. As of now, no suspects or potential crimes have been identified in the investigation.

The search for Cristian Molnar remains ongoing, made more challenging by the rising and turbulent waters of the Natisone River due to recent rainfall.

A volunteer who found Patrizia's body shared his emotional ordeal: "I can't imagine what the firefighter felt when he saw them disappear into the water before his eyes. We hugged each other. A few words. The parents asked me about the bracelet, "I confirmed they were Patrizia's. I wish I could bring good news, not death."

Describing the discovery, the volunteer said, "Her body was found in a small inlet formed by water erosion, covered with debris and branches. I had hoped she was alive. When I saw her body, I checked for a heartbeat or breath. There was nothing."

He continued, "The area is treacherous, with boulders up to eight meters high and gaps filled with rubble and logs. Every crack had to be examined. The firefighters are professionals, equipped to handle such conditions. I can't fathom the horror they "I felt seeing the friends swept away."

This tragedy has left the community in mourning, as the search for answers and the remaining missing friends continues.
